Teach the children

Teach the children:

"From 'To be an Arab in Israel,' by Fouzi al-Asmar, p. 237:

'I can't read in the bus. I get a headache. However, I realize that many people are able to spend their travelling time reading. For years I was bothered by the fact that I was 'wasting' the time I spent in buses. In the end, I decided that I must use the time to sleep I promptly fall asleep out of habit. However, one day I was travelling from Tel Aviv to Haifa and I was so nervous that I couldn't sleep. The seat in front of me was occupied by an old lady and a sweet child of about seven. The old lady was apparently the boy's grandmother and had bought him a toy, a pop-gun. He looked at me and wanted to play. He put the cork in the barrel and aimed the gun at me, laughing. However I realized that if he were to press the trigger, he was close enough to put my eye out. Having no alternative, I asked the old lady, 'Excuse me. Could you take the rifle away from the child or at least take the cork out. He could put my eye out.'

'you're right, sir, I will'

'She turned to the child. 'Dudu, I've told you a thousand times that you should only point guns at Arabs....!"
