People around the world are marking the International al-Quds Day to show support for the Palestinian resistance against Israel.

Afghan Muslims in Kabul also took to the streets to show solidarity with Palestinians and condemn Israeli occupation of palatine.

The annual event takes place on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan. Al-Quds rallies were first introduced in Iran by the late leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini in 1979.

Once again, Afghan people denounced Israeli actions against Palestinians and called for an end to the Israeli occupation of the land.

Religious leaders here also have spoken out against what they consider as apathy towards the Palestinian cause and asked Muslims around the world to unite.

Experts say organizing these demonstrations during the past decades has raised public awareness with regard to the realities of the Palestinian issue.
