"Restrictions at the Rafah crossing point are still in place for nearly thirty thousand Gazans.

Only few hundred travelers are allowed daily to leave Gaza through the Rafah terminal.

The situation is especially hard during the holy month of Ramadan.

Although the border is open for eight hours a day, even those with foreign passports are not let through freely.

International activists monitoring the humanitarian situation in the territory say things at Rafah have got worse after the Egyptian revolution.

Egypt claimed in May that it fully reopened the Rafah crossing but facts on the ground has proven the opposite.

After hours of waiting under the sweltering sun; anger and despair are the main mood of the day among travelers.

They say they are specially angry because restrictions have not been lifted despite past assurances from Egypt's ruling junta to fully reopen the crossing.
