Latest ploy: Israel releases 200 Palestinian prisoners who either completed their sentences or had days left to complete them

"Israel freed approximately 200 Palestinian prisoners from its jails today. The freed prisoners had either finished their sentences weeks or months ago and were kept in Israeli jails until today nonetheless or finished the majority of their jail time and were to be released in the near future.

The freed prisoners were released from various occupation prisons at different times, but Israel has not yet given the Palestinian Authority the names or precise number of prisoners released.

Observers asserted that the release of the Palestinian prisoners is not a sign of good will from the occupation, nor did they release the prisoners because the Holy month of Ramadan. They stated that the only reason that the prisoners were freed is because there is no more room in Israeli jails, since the occupation arrest 150 to 200 Palestinians a month and need the space in their overcrowded prisons.

Palestinian prisoners are suffering daily from inhumane conditions in Israeli jails, but the messages they sent out to the Palestinian society with their freed comrades are calls for unity and resistance.
