Located in the Upper Galilee, 15 miles north of Acre, the Palestinian village of Iqrit spanned 25,000 dunams and counted approximately 500 residents in 1948. In November of that same year, the Israeli army invaded the village and vacated its residents, promising them that they could return in two weeks. This promise was never fulfilled and today, the original residents of Iqrit and their descendants are still fighting to go back to their homes.
