"Israeli warplanes have carried out an air strike on east of Gaza city in the early hours of Sunday inflicting damages on this brick factory as well as nearby residential houses.
Eye witnesses said that the explosion was very loud and caused panic among residents
This is a shrapnel of a missile that was fired by the warplane, residents here say that this area was targeted for the 3rd time
Israel claims that its frequent land and air attacks on different parts in Gaza were in response to homemade projectiles fired from Gaza. However, disproportionate force is always used, which human rights groups say is in violation of international law, and civilians are often killed or injured.
The recent military escalation in besieged Gaza comes as Israel continues its incitement campaign against International pro-Palestinian activists who are attempting to reach Gaza via sea onboard a flotilla of ships or the West Bank through fly in or what is termed as a “flytilla” via Tal Aviv's Ben Gurion airport, to show solidarity with the Palestinians under siege and occupation in the occupied territories.
The activists were part of the pro-Palestinian 'Welcome to Palestine' campaign, and organized the “flytilla” to Israel after Greece in collusion with Israel slashed their hopes of sailing to the Gaza Strip.
