"Palestinian refugees in Gaza expressed frustration over UNRWA's decision to cut some of its public services such as the emergency distribution of food aid provided by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees.

The International Agency said this is due to budget deficit and also shortage of doner funds

The recent decision means that 1000's of families and beneficiaries in the besieged enclave will not receive UN aid assistance any more.
Some of the registered refugees who queue at UN distribution centers did not find their names on the list.
Unemployment and poverty rates in Gaza are one of the highest in the world due to years of Israeli siege that has crippled the economy
For its part, the popular committee for refugees in Gaza warned UNRWA that cutting some of its services will be met with angry reactions from the poor refugees.
Over 750,000 resisted refugees in Gaza rely on UNRWA's aid assistance, 10's of 1000's of them are still living in refugee camps in bad conditions.
Palestinian refugees and their decedents demand the UN to put pressure on Israel to allow them to return to their homes and towns from which they were drive out since 1948.
The refugees problem started in 1948 when the indigenous people of Palestine were forced to flee their homes to make room for Israel to exist in historic Palestine. Since then Palestinians have been living in a state of limbo, with millions of the refugee's decedents living in refugee camps in neighboring countries, and others scattered in the Diaspora.
