"In light of the increased Israeli aerial attacks on Gaza, people in the besieged coastal strip especially those who live along the border are afraid that this escalation could be a prelude to another large scale offensive.

In the latest raid carried out on Wednesday, Israeli jet fighters launched two air strikes east and south of Gaza city targeting open spaces, the raids caused damage to nearby houses in the targeted area. Israeli army officials claim that the air raids were in response to rocket fire from Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israeli navy warships intensified their attacks in recent days against Gaza fishermen along the 40km coastline off the sea shores of the costal enclave, damaging a number of boats including “Oliva” the monitoring tiny vessel used by international activists to monitor Israeli violations and attacks.
The Gaza strip has been under siege for over 4 years and subject to frequent land, sea and air attacks. A situation that has caused unprecedented levels of poverty and unemployment. The restrictions on the freedom of movement, export and import forced people to resort to underground tunnels to bring in their necessities.
in light of the growing support for the Palestinian cause, Palestinians are pinning their hope on the efforts of international activists who oppose the occupation of Palestine and siege of Gaza.
