"Turkey has criticized an Israeli inquiry that said its navy had acted within international law during a deadly raid on an aid flotilla trying to reach Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid last May.

Nine Turkish activists died in the attack. The reaction came quickly from the Turkish capital within hours of Israel announcing the results of its own investigation.

A separate UN inquiry last year said the navy had shown an 'unacceptable level of brutality'.
The IHH charity that headed the flotilla agrees that the report has no credibility. They told us they were not called to give testimony as part of the Israeli investigation.

In contrary to Israel's findings, Turkish autopsy reports show that at least one of the activists was shot at close range in the back of the head four times. The public here are also angered.

Observers say it could further isolate Israel in a region that is growing tired of confrontation.

The fall out from the Israeli inquiry is sure to deepen the crisis in Turkish-Israeli ties. Turkey wants a full apology for the attack and compensation for the families.
