"Demonstrators have gathered outside FBI headquarters in protest of raids and investigations by the FBI on peace activists. Speakers included FBI Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds.

Coleen Rowley, a former FBI agent of 24 years who was named one of Time Magazine's Persons of the Year in 2002 was also in attendance.

The FBI made national headlines last September when the homes of trade unionists, anti-war activists and pro-Palestinian activists were raided in Chicago and Minneapolis .

Udry also discussed the reason for holding the protest today.

Protesters then rallied to the Quantico Marine base and demanded the humane treatment of Bradley Manning who is being held there. Manning is the soldier believed responsible for disclosing classified U.S. documents to the now popular Wikileaks.

On this Martin Luther King Day, protesters call on the FBI and U.S. government to conduct their investigations in a constitutional way and not spy on anti-war activists as they once did to the man who today they celebrate.
