Blegen Hall, University of Minnesota, December 15, 2010. Minnesota Break the Bonds is an organization dedicated to disinvesting in Israel Bonds until Israel obeys international law and stops the apartheid against the Palestinians. It's part of a larger effort named BDS - Boycott, Divest and Sanction. The state of Minnesota holds $18.4 million in Israel bonds, less than 1% of total state investments. This disinvestment is seen as a token move and a beginning of further pressure.
