Gaza olive produce suffers under siege

Israel's siege prohibiting the entry of pesticides, fertilizers, and machinery for agriculture, coupled with Israel's declaration of a large chunk (approximately 30%) of Gaza's agricultural land as a "buffer zone" inaccessible to farmers under threat of being shot and killed, plus the continuous incursions by the Israeli army and razing of Gaza agricultural land and farm top-soil is having a serious effect on Gaza's ability to grow and maintain its own produce. In this case, olives (a staple in the Palestinian economy and diet.)
