"Palestinians from the village of Bil'in in West Bank, along with international peace activists demonstrated against the construction of the separation wall and nearby settlements built on confiscated Palestinian land.

The demonstration turned into a confrontation after occupation forces fired tear gas canisters and rubber coated bullets at the demonstrators, injuring some protestors.
Palestinian young protestors said they retaliated by throwing stones at the occupation forces.
The separation wall in the occupied Palestinian territories is contrary to the international laws. A non-binding advisory opinion delivered by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) during July, 2004, stated that Israel must cease construction of the wall and dismantle the sections located in the occupied territories.
Palestinians from Bil'in have been peacefully demonstrating against the confiscation of their lands and the construction of the separation wall and settlements for the past 6 years. They say they vow to keep doing so until they free their lands from the hands of Israel.
The Protests in the West Bank take place almost on a weekly basis. Ni'lin, Bil'in, Ma'sarah, and Nabi Saleh villages have become a showcase of Palestinian non-violent resistance against Israeli settlement activities and the construction of the segregation wall.
