[For Stamp Collectors] Gaza government issues Palestinian postage stamps

PressTV - Hamas government issues new sets of Palestinian postage stamps:

"In a bold step to stress Palestinian sovereignty, the Hamas government has issued a new sets of Palestinian postage stamps.

The Palestinian ministry of telecommunication and information technology Gaza, issued 3 sets of postage stamps.

It is the first time for any Palestinian government to issue postal stamps without Israel's approval since the so-called Oslo peace accords.
In an exclusive interview with Press TV, Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haneya described the issuance of the stamps as a sign of Palestinian sovereignty.

According to government officials the new series Palestinian postal stamps reflect the significance of Nakba , victims of the of the Freedom Flotilla 1 as well as the Year Of The Youth 2011.
Each series includes 4 stamps and a commemorative sheet.

The Postmaster General says these stamps will be available for trading during the next week.

The new tamps will be available both in Gaza and abroad for stamp collectors.

The new editions of postal stamps were made to reflect the concerns of the Palestinian people.

They express the most prominent national issues that reflect the Palestinian struggle for freedom, independence and dignity.
