"A two-day exhibition called the Freedom of Palestine and the Awakening of the Muslim Ummah has opened in the port city of Karachi.

According to the Palestine Foundation of Pakistan, the organizer of the event, the objective of the Freedom Fair is to present a true account of the Palestinian cause and the revolutions in the Arab world.

The event has nicely highlighted the hardships confronting the Palestinian people. A video documentary on the history of Palestine was also put on screen.

For artists and scholars, extraordinary circumstances call for equally special attention. And as this event goes to show, Pakistani intellectuals are very much sensitive and in touch with the wider world.
