Police fail to shut down Israeli window display:

Police demanded a shop near Portsmouth to take down its window display as it referred to Israel being a terror state.However Police were scared off after the clued up workers gave him an education.

The shop owner said the Police then 'rang us up and continued the conversation. He said we had to remove the reference to Israel terror state as it was in contravention of Section 31 of the Public order Act because it would cause racial or religious aggravated harassment, alarm or distress. Once we pointed out to him that Israel was a state and not a race or religion he shut up and went away. We have not heard from them since, but we haven't given up hope.'
