To Be narrates the suffering of Palestinians under the Israeli and international siege on Gaza. We meet fishermen, farmers, and civilians targeted by Israeli soldiers. Meet the father of a youth who attempted to find a better life and instead found the end of his life, lying nearly 2 months in decay before his body was retrieved. Palestinians' voices are linked with international solidarity activists, working to raise awareness on the various issues crippling life in Gaza. Through the internationals' work in Gaza, To Be reveals what has long been fact: that Palestinians are locked in one of the largest prisons on earth and that Israeli soldiers target unarmed Palestinian and international civilians without fear of being tried. The film is a testimony to the urgent and years-old need to end an immoral siege on an imprisoned population.
