Digging Their Own Graves - Palestinians Build Israeli Settlements

Palestinians build Israeli homes

Comment: I'm in no position to judge most of the daily laborers who have a definite need to work where work is available in order to feed their families. However, the contractor appearing in the video and rejecting settlement freeze is definitely not one of them. He's the fat cat in the crowd living off the labor of others and can certainly afford (judging by his income) to find a different source of living. The contractor's words and acts, as such, are a symptom of the absence of the resistance, its educational programs and actions in the society, which absence is attributed to the rule of a collaborationist group, ready to strike at and corrupt any form of resistance, even the peaceful ones, in order to fulfill its job at the service of their zionist masters.

"Israel's settlements in the occupied West Bank are one of the main stumbling blocks in the Palestinian-Israeli peace process.

Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, is refusing to continue talks until there is a complete freeze in their construction.

However, some Palestinian workers have no other way to make ends meet othert than to work for Israeli construction companies building the illegal settlements.

Al Jazeera's Jackie Rowland reports from the West Bank.
