Witness - Soy Palestino

Witness - Soy Palestino - Part 1:

Comment: Some general background should have been given as to the rural migration into cities and the dire consequences it holds for the economy of any country, especially in the case of Cuba that has been under U.S. Embargo of the Island for decades. Yet no background was given, leaving the impression of injustice, discrimination and oppression of the rural migrants in Cuba supposedly because of their color or social status [a funny thing to claim by the host of the show who seems very eager to confirm racism exists in Cuba.]
My surprise, however, was some utterances by Qashoo himself, such as "I came thinking that everyone in Cuba was supposed to be equal and that Havana is for all Cubans, but it seems..." etc etc. Yeah there is always a but...
It's all pure superficial nonsense, elevating minor differences to the Category of Racism.
Oh and of all the famous Cuban singers on the Island who tour the world from corner to corner, somehow and by pure magical coincidence, they chose as a background music the song "La Vida es un Carnaval" by the longtime supporter of anti-Castro CIA golpistas singer Celia Cruz.
Qashoo, WTF were you thinking?

The following is the caption for the video:
"On a musical-comedy journey into Cuba's politics, Palestinian filmmaker Osama Qayshoo learns that 'Palestino' is derogatory Havana slang for second-class citizens from the rural east, and Qayshoo finds much in common with the homelss Cuban street musician Louisito."
