Nablus / Amin Abu Wardeh - Three demonstrators were injured in the western Ramallah town of Bil'in during the weekly march and demonstration against the Wall, land confiscation and settlement expansion.

Israeli forces attacked Palestinians and foreign supporters, including a French national and 65 year old Bil’in resident Mohammad Ali Abu Sadi.

Dozens of others suffered suffocation from toxic gas inhalation. But the Palestinian nonviolent resistance goes on in Ramallah’s Bil’in and in southern Bethlehem. No amounts of Israeli violence or arrests have been able to stop the people.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Ambulance crew was on hand to aid in the relief efforts on Friday.

Families from Bil’in, who are losing most of their land despite international law and Israeli court changes to the Wall route, were joined by international supporters, including some Israelis.

The demonstrations are weekly and have been for three years. The group sang, chanted and held banners: all calling for Palestinian human rights and the implementation of international law.

Friday’s demonstration coincided with the fourth anniversary of the Hague decision against the Wall which stated that it must be removed and Palestinians be compensated for their losses. The Israeli government has heeded none of the rulings or laws.

The demonstrators were protesting against the Wall illegally built on Palestinian land when Israeli forces fired gas and rubber coated metal bullets. No one could make it past the barrage.

Four days ago Israeli forces arrested a 17 year old Palestinian boy, Hamdan, active in the nonviolent resistance. He was released. In a further attempt to squash the movement the Israeli military raided other homes, arresting some and threatening others, including children younger than Hamdan.
