Gaza: Medical Blockade
justghassan — June 22, 2010 — Shifa hospital in Gaza city is the largest of its kind in the Palestinian territories. Hundreds of patients come here every day despite the fact that the hospital's main diagnostic instruments such as CT scan, MRI, Mammography are out of order. Due to the three years long Israeli blockade spare parts and replacements cannot be imported, if they are - there are long delays. Engineers are unable to enter Gaza to service the equipment.
