Gaza protesters condemn PA "security co-op with Israel"

PressTV - Gaza protesters condemn PA "security co-op with Israel":

"Yousef al-Helou, Press TV, Gaza

Hamas supporters took to the streets in Gaza city to condemn what they call security collaboration between the Palestinian Authority and Israel in the West Bank.
They also showed their outrage with the Israeli forces for killing a Palestinian in the West Bank city of Hebron “Al-Khalil” during a pre-dawn raid on his house.

Hamas has said it holds the Palestinian Authority and Israel responsible for the death and the arrest of five men who were just released from PA prisons a day before.

On Thursday acting Palestinian Authority chief Mahmud Abbas ordered the release of six Hamas prisoners who had been on hunger strike for several days which led to the deterioration of their health.

Hamas and its rival Fatah which is in control of PA in the West Bank have been carrying out tit-for-tat arrest campaigns ever since Hamas took control of the Gaza strip in 2007. Recently a Hamas spokesperson said that the Palestinian Authority security forces detained 3,000 of the movement's affiliates in the West Bank in 2010

So far, different rounds of talks aimed at reconciliation of the two rivals have failed to bring them any closer to each other.
